What is the Learner Circle Young Authors Program?
The Learner Circle Young Authors Program is a unique opportunity for young writers aged 8-18 to have their stories published and be recognized as published authors. It’s a chance to share their creative voices with the world.
How can my child participate?
Children can participate by submitting their original short story(ies) to Learner Circle by the specified deadline (see website for current deadline). The story(ies) should be submitted as a Word or Google document via the provided online form.
What type of stories are eligible?
We welcome submissions of stories in any genre. However, we maintain a strict policy regarding originality. All submitted stories must be the child’s own work, free from any form of plagiarism. Stories must not have been previously published in any format, including online platforms, print publications, or personal blogs.
What measures are in place to prevent plagiarism during the selection process?
Our dedicated panel of judges meticulously reviews each submitted story. They are trained to identify potential plagiarism and assess the originality of the work. In addition to human review, we utilize advanced plagiarism detection software and AI-assisted analysis to ensure the stories are unique and original.
What happens after my child submits their story?
Submitted stories go through a multi-stage process. First, our editorial team reviews all submissions. Selected stories will undergo professional proofreading, editing, and fact-checking.
How will the editor help my child after submission?
After a story is selected, the child will work closely with an experienced editor, starting with a one-on-one consultation. The editor will provide constructive feedback, and the child will revise their story before final proofreading, copy editing, and possible illustration.
When will the book be launched?
Learner Circle hosts book launch events throughout the year. Selected stories will be featured in our upcoming book launch event following the completion of the editing and production process.
Will my child receive a copy of the book?
Yes, all participating authors will receive complimentary copies of the published book.
Will the book be available for sale?
Yes, published books will be available for purchase on Amazon.in and other popular online retailers.
What are the charges/processing fees?
The charges for book publishing are as follows:
Anthology: Rs. 4,999 or AED 220
Individual Book: Rs. 25,000 or AED 1,100

What about copyrights?
The copyright for individual stories published as standalone books remains with the author. For short stories included in the anthology, the copyright is held by Learner Circle.
Can I submit more than one story?
Yes, each child may submit more than one story.

What are the word count requirements?
Anthology Submissions: Up to 3,000 words.
Individual Book Submissions: Up to 20,000 words.

Do young authors receive royalties?
Learner Circle helps children become authors! We guide children through an exciting creative journey of writing and publishing their own stories. However, we do not offer royalties or any sales proceeds for books published through Learner Circle.
